Jamie and I reconvened yesterday at his house to finish recording the last two preproduction tracks before hitting the studio. Everything went well except for some latency issues with ProTools. Those issues will be resolved before any other overdubs. We have pushed back our studio date until early July for several reasons including our busy schedules. We have 6 songs to hit hard when we start tracking drums and bass. Here is Jamie working on the bridge to one of the songs.

We also got to check out “Cascade Fathead.”(I love that name!) The Fathead is an economical ribbon microphone that sounds pretty dang good from what we could tell on the acoustic guitar. I also used an AT4033 to bring out the high frequecies as well as Jamie’s new Universal Audio LA610 preamp. Here is a pic of the setup.

I’ve also been working on a movie trailer for Joby Saad. I helped him with some of the editing a few months ago and now he is releasing it.
