The shoot went great on Saturday! Janelle Arnold will be collaborating with me on this project. She recently graduated from MTSU in Electronic Media Communication (EMC) and works for a company that does music videos for CMT. Between Rory’s lighting and photography experience, Janelle’s experiences on music video sets, and my….uhhhh…technical knowhow we make a great team. We had a jib, steadycam, and tripod at our disposal and we definitely made use of all of them. We used a Sony FX1 HD camera to capture the scenes as they unfolded. Thanks to Ryan we have these picks from the shoot.

Tomorrow morning we start shooting Copa’s “Flesh and Bone” music video. I’m excited for several reasons including this being my first HD shoot. Ryan Pflasterer and I went out this morning to do some test shots around the same time we are gonna shoot this thing on Saturday. I also checked out some video accessories from the EMC dept. and borrowed a couple of hooded robes from a friend (you just never know when a Benedictine chant might breakout). I will post several pics from the shoot soon but for now here is one of Ryan during the test shooting.

I took a little time to edit a family video from our Vancouver Island Vacation from last summer. I borrowed a little camcorder from our friends Wes and Patty for the trip. Thanks guys. Click here to see it. It may take a little time to download…sorry. It might be better to just “control+click” for Mac and “right click” for PC to download linked file.

I decided to remix “The Mess” as recorded by Copa. The new mix is posted on my portfolio website…just click here. I recorded the project a while back so you’ll have to scroll back to “Archive of Previously Recordings.” I also have been working on mastering “Flesh and Bone” a new Copa release engineered by Tyler Cook and also the backdrop for the new music video I’m working on.
