Well…I decided to lighten the class-load this semester so I could work more on independent projects…you didn’t think I would loaf did you? Rory White, of the cigar gospel rock band known as Copa, and I have started the creative wheels turning on making a music video together. Rory is a guru of the art of photography and I’m sure I will learn a ton from working with him….oh and he’s fun to hang out with to boot.
Today I ran around town scouting out possible locations with our new Canon Rebel 350D. I love this camera and I love iPhoto. I think I’ll marry them. here are a couple of shots from my adventures:

Also, Russ and Ryan Pflasterer have asked me to mix their concept album that they recorded a couple of years ago. It will be the first time that I have been able to mix something that I was not present for the tracking dates. I’m looking forward to starting the mixing with a clean sonic palette.
Finally, I met with a couple last night about videoing their wedding. This will give Kelsey and I a chance to work together as well as breaking some new ground for me in videography. It’s amazing how one semester I’m almost complete focusing on audio and the next I’m back to video. I love learning this stuff. I’ll keep you posted on these ventures.
